Beverly Lister Bespoke Bridal Gowns
I work in a creative space not a retail store, so visiting me is a much different experience to visiting a bridal shop. Brides always comment on how peaceful my studio is and how relaxed the experience was.
You are the only one here and I allow at least two hours for your initial appointment so we have plenty of time to talk about your wedding style, discuss ideas and then you can try on gowns at your leisure.
Creating your Gown
With my help and advice, brides can take different elements from my sample gowns to create their own design.
Or we can design something completely unique together for which I will source fabrics and trimmings.
Made to Measure
I make an individual pattern for each bride based on body measurements. The process involves approximately 4 fittings.
Brides have told me how interesting they find the process, seeing their dress develop from the toile stage to the finished creation. (a toile is a mock up of components of your wedding dress to check that the fit and design is perfect)
I can work to most time scales, although very quick turnarounds depend on the fabric being available.
I offer weekend appointments for fittings, both Saturdays and Sundays, unlike some bridal shops. I know how precious time off from work is when you are saving holiday time for your honeymoon.
The price I quote for your dress is the finished price, including pattern making, fittings and adjustments. As each gown is made to measure there are no costly hidden alteration charges.
Prices vary according to style and cloth/lace chosen, but I can work to a wide range of budgets.
